The paper making process
Paper making requires finely tuned, environmentally friendly processes, aided by specially formulated chemicals to meet the high quality demands of the market. Closure of the water circulation also places extra demands on producers.
Defoamers are used for efficient control of foam and entrained air, conditioning agents for reduction of deposits, cleaning agents for improved cleanliness of wires, felts and paper machine surfaces, and biocides can be employed for slime-control and preservation. Other products include wax-dispersions for reducing water uptake, wet-strength resins for maintaining paper-strength at wetting, and various additives such as softeners for tissue paper.
